About Thomas
Thomas is a proud Pittsburgh resident, small business owner, and community advocate passionate about driving meaningful change. As the owner of TRIM, a celebrated men’s retail boutique in Lawrenceville, Thomas has created jobs, supported local initiatives, and contributed to the city’s vibrant culture. He believes decades of ineffective policies have left Pittsburgh’s residents frustrated and is committed to bringing fresh leadership to move the city forward.
Raised by a hardworking mother and stepfather, Thomas learned early the value of perseverance, ambition, and the importance of community. A graduate of Lyndon State College with a degree in communications, Thomas began his career in television broadcasting, producing for stations like WPXI and WTAE.
His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to open TRIM in 2014, which quickly became a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s retail scene. Thomas’s dedication to local business extends beyond his store. As a former board member of the East Liberty Chamber of Commerce, he helped launch the area's first Small Business Saturday events and is a member of the Three Rivers Business Association. His leadership earned TRIM the title of Best Men’s Boutique by Pittsburgh Magazine in 2024 and recognition as a 50 Finest by WHIRL Magazine in 2016.
Committed to giving back, Thomas has sponsored organizations like the Stonewall Sports League and supported charities including Humane Animal Rescue, the Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, and the Lemieux Family Center.
When he’s not running his business, Thomas enjoys spending time with his partner Adam, and their dogs, Willow and Maddy at their home in Highland Park. With a deep passion for fostering growth and opportunity, Thomas is ready to bring his vision, dedication, and fresh leadership to ensure a brighter, more prosperous future for all Pittsburgh residents.
